ISABEL MUNOZ

Isabel Muñoz has spent the last 17 years traveling the world and photographing the bodies of women in movement. Through her eyes, the hands of a dancer in Cambodia (Bailarina del Ballet Real de Camboya), the lips of an African, the hips of a Cuban become a landscape studied in detail. Thirty-five of the Spanish photographer's powerful images comprise the show Isabel Muñoz Photographs, a joint presentation of the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation and the Spanish Cultural Center (Centro Cultural Español) in Coral Gables. It's a must-see show. Muñoz is described by show organizers as one of the two most important photographers in Spain, but whatever the rank, quality this high is rare.

Isabel Muñoz Photographs runs through Oct. 5 at CIFO, 1018 N. Miami Ave., Miami; open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday to Sunday; 305-448-9677; www.ccemiami.org or www.cifo.org.
