In Development, a new work by former Miamian David Caudle, kicks off a world premiere-filled season at New Theatre this weekend. Bill Schwartz stars as Gideon Flynn, a renowned playwright whose summer workshop sessions are at least as dramatic as anything his students turn out. The dark comedy plays New Theatre, 4120 Laguna St., Coral Gables, through Nov. 9. Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 1 p.m. Sunday, with additional 5:30 p.m. shows Oct. 18, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.
