`Silent Heroes' revisits Vietnam War era
As the Vietnam War draws to a close, a plane crash leaves the wives of six Marine fighter pilots waiting to discover which woman has become a widow. Sally Bondi and Jennifer Toohey portray two of the military wives alongside Barbara Sloan, Tara Vodihn, Jaime Libbert and Kirsten Upchurch in the Women's Theatre Project production of Linda Escalera Baggs' Silent Heroes. The play opens this weekend at Sixth Star Studios, 505 NW First Ave., Fort Lauderdale, where it runs through Oct. 26. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday (extra matinee Oct. 25).
