Stage Pick | 'Lying in State'

If back-to-back presidential nominating conventions have left you feeling overwhelmed, consider checking out the lighter side of politics via Lying in State, David C. Hyer's crazy political comedy running through Sept. 21 at the Caldwell Theatre Company. With a stellar cast -- John Felix and Allan Baker (pictured) plus Kim Ostrenko, Angie Radosh, Laura Turnbull, John Bixler and Dannis Creaghan -- the play tells the story of a dead senator, a live governor and the woman both have loved. Performances are 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $34 and $38. The Caldwell is at 7901 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton. Call 1-877-245-7432 or visit www.caldwelltheatre.com.
