Stage Pick | 'The Last Days of Judas Iscariot'
In his 2005 play The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, provocative New York playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis imagines the man who betrayed Jesus caught between Heaven and Hell as lawyers battle to send him one place or the other. Jose Paredes plays Judas in a Ground Up & Rising production that reunites some of South Florida's top young talent, including Kameshia Duncan, Lela Elam and Sheaun McKinney. The show has been extended through Aug. 31, with performances at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20 ($15 for seniors and students). Ground Up & Rising performs in Building M at Miami Dade College's Kendall campus, 11011 SW 104th St., Miami.
