    Heat assistants McAdoo, Rothstein reassigned

    Longtime Miami Heat assistants Bob McAdoo and Ron Rothstein have been reassigned by the team, the Miami Herald confirmed Monday. McAdoo and Rothstein were both originally hired as assistants by Heat president Pat Riley.

    Serena Williams reaches quarterfinals at U.S. Open

    Five-time U.S. Open champion Serena Williams was an easy fourth-round winner Monday at the event. Williams won her 18th straight match in New York with a 6-3, 6-3 win against Estonia's Kaia Kanepi in 64 minutes.
