Nearly 3,000 students from 15 middle schools and their families from around Miami-Dade County attended Jungle Island as it hosted the 2013 ... Hip Hop 4 Health Fair and Final Dance Competition on Saturday, May 4. The African-American Performing Arts Community Theatre is putting on a production of ‘Anne and Emmett’ at the African Heritage... Cultural Arts Center in Liberty City. The play imagines a meeting between Anne Frank, who died at age 15 inside the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp during the Holocaust, and Emmett Till, who was 14 years old in 1955 when he was murdered for reportedly flirting with a white woman in Mississippi. About 200 teens gathered in Little Haiti on Sunday, April 28, to help beautify Morningside Elementary as part the annual J-Serve Internation... al Day of Jewish Youth Service. Among their accomplishments: a newly painted mural and a spruced-up, re-mulched garden and green area.
