A photo caption Saturday on Page 3B contained an incorrect name for an event held Friday at the University of Miami School of Architecture. The event was called Canstruction.

A story on Page 3B of Friday's paper said that a 1-pound, 1-ounce baby born at Holtz Children's Hospital was the smallest baby ever born at the hospital. This information, provided by Holtz, was later revealed to be incorrect. Smaller babies have been born at the hospital in the past, a Holtz spokesperson said.

A story on Page 1A of Wednesday's newspaper misidentified Tomás Regalado as the first Pedro Pan immigrant to become mayor of Miami. He is the second. Joe Carollo was the first.

In an article that appeared Sunday about the Country Club of Coral Gables, Mayor Don Slesnick's name was misspelled.

In a Neighbors Oct. 29 story about the renovation of Simpson Park, the agency in charge of marketing and corporate social responsibility for Audi of America was incorrectly identified. It is called SiiNC.

An incorrect venue was listed in the Tuesday Health & Fitness Calendar for a talk on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the XMRV Retrovirus. On Page 2E of Saturday's Tropical Life section, the Nov. 7 Southern Cross Stargazer column was erroneously printed, giving readers an incorrect date for a Florida International University astronomy event, which is at 8 p.m. Nov. 13.

Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrera Bower's name was misspelled Saturday in a front-page story about the Miami Beach elections and Sunday in a correction on Page 3A.

A front-page story Saturday on attack ads in the Miami Beach elections misspelled the first name of Mayor Mattie Herrera Bower, and included the wrong photo for Group 3 City Commission candidate Alex Fernandez. The correct photo of the candidate is at right.

In some editions of Friday's Weekend, incorrect ticket prices appeared for a production of Hamlet. Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, UM faculty, staff and alumni and $10 for students or children. Watsco earned 81 cents per share in the third quarter of 2008. An item in the earnings roundup on page 3C of Wednesday's business section reported otherwise.

A story in Sunday's edition of Neighbors incorrectly referred to the North Miami Beach police chief. His name is Rafael Hernandez.

A 26-inch piece of luggage designed and signed by Romero Britto -- a South Florida painter, sculptor and designer known for his colorful, pop-art pieces -- costs $4,499.95. That same, unsigned Britto piece sells for $300. An item on Page 8A on Monday may have been unclear.

Due to a production error, the credit line on page 6G of Business Monday was missing from the photo of Paul Rocha. Miami Herald staff photographer Marsha Halper took the picture.

On Tuesday, a story on Page 1B about H1N1 vaccinations in public schools misstated the groups operating health teams and giving H1N1 swine-flu shots in Miami-Dade schools. The teams are run by Citrus Health Network, Community Health of South Florida, Health Choice Network, Helen B. Bentley Family Health Center, Jesse Trice Community Center, Miami Children's Hospital, Jackson Health System, Institute for Child & Family Health, University of Miami/Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation and Borinquen Health Care Center. Funding for the teams is provided by The Children's Trust at $14 million annually.

A story in Sunday's Issues and Ideas section about a Nuremberg Tribunals translator might have led some readers to incorrectly conclude that Auschwitz, a Nazi death camp in Poland, was established by Poles. It was established by Germans.

Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts Harvey Ruvin was misidentified in a photo caption Saturday on Page 1B.
