On Tuesday, a story on Page 1B about H1N1 vaccinations in public schools misstated the groups operating health teams and giving H1N1 swine-flu shots in Miami-Dade schools. The teams are run by Citrus Health Network, Community Health of South Florida, Health Choice Network, Helen B. Bentley Family Health Center, Jesse Trice Community Center, Miami Children's Hospital, Jackson Health System, Institute for Child & Family Health, University of Miami/Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation and Borinquen Health Care Center. Funding for the teams is provided by The Children's Trust at $14 million annually.

Because of erroneous information provided by the U.S. State Department, a story on Page 9A Thursday about a top department official and U.S.-Cuban citizens jailed in Cuba contained an error. The Department now tells El Nuevo Herald that Bisa Williams did not meet with the inmates during her trip to Cuba last month. But during the trip, it adds, ``The Cuban government informed Williams of its decision to allow consular access to a number of [jailed] U.S. citizens who are also dual nationals.''

A story about nanotechnology and medicine Thursday on Page 1A contained erroneous information about the results of nanoparticle research by Dr. Cherie Stabler at the University of Miami. Subjects treated with pancreatic ``beta cells'' have not been off insulin for five years. Those results pertain to a different study.

A Sept. 13 Neighbors story about the proposed 2009-10 Cutler Bay budget mischaracterized the reason Councilwoman Peggy Bell supported keeping a code enforcement job in the town budget. She withdrew her request to ax the vacant position because it might cause legal issues if the job is not included in the budget.
