Dear Yoli, thanks again for your response. Relative to religion, may I say that I share your thoughts about a higher power and the order of the Universe, we humans are the only ones that appear to be disorderly, unlike the Wildebeasts or Salmon or Bears when they hybernate and migrate, etc. There is an order out there with a power that as you say, we all interpret differently. Most of us who relish music, poetry and in summary, appreciate Art, have a deep sensitivity and kindred spirity that shows itself from one to the other and others as well. I'm glad our paths crossed in our journey and I feel very grateful for the friendship we are developing in the Fall/Winter of our lives. I would have hoped to write more, but I have an appointment at the VA Hosp with the Podiatry clinic, nothing much, just heel spurs from so many years standing in the Operating Room sometimes for 8 straigh hours...que cosa...! that is what us decendant from Españoles call "estamos llenos de Pulgas" some more than others. Hi Yoly, gracias por escribirme, otra hermanita mas que encuentro, oye tengo muchas fotos y las voy ir cambiando, tu sabes que en eso nos entreteniamos, haciendo rolitos y jugando uno que otro deporte, pues yo me creia bailarina y estaba en todos los bailes y fiestas patriotica siempre compartia, hasta baile en todos los show de Fla City, si me coje la Dra Delia Diaz de Villar ahora con 50 libras de mas, me mata, pero bueno esa es la vida. Yolanda, thank you so much for your kind words, and yes, my parents are in a much better place but I don't know if beaming down at us is what they are doing, the good book tells us that once we leave this Earth, there are no tears, sorrows, anguish and all the other negatives...I love live, but I also look forward to eternal rest. Somewhere I read something about La Luna in one of your comments, I too relish the Moon and what a sight it is if you go somewhere like Vegas and drive out towards the Grand Canyon through the dessert, where in most places there is absolutely no man made light...there is only the Moon and Stars and it is overwhelming. If you like music, perhaps I can recommend Luna by Alessandro Safina; I could e-mail you the site for your perusal and enjoyment. Cariños: Robert

Querida Yo: Aqui ando de corre corre pero me tengo que sentar a escribirte unas lineas. No te puedes imaginar lo que disfruto de este site. Es algo adictivo. Lo que tu escribes me encanta y le encuentro very refreshing, y me pone la mente a trabajar en overtime. Todas las noches antes de dormir repaso todo lo que sucedio en el dia y casi siempre me vienen ideas que a veces son muy buenas. Cuando pienso en los problemas se los entrego a Dios porque si les hago mucho caso adquieren un tamano que son imposibles de resolver asi que los dejo y casi siempre por la manana se achicaron milagrosamente. Dios es muy grande cierto? Bueno te digo esto porque anoche me puse a pensar en tu esperado libro y la verdad es que no quiero ponerte presion, pero creo que debes empezar por una novelita tipo Corin Tellado, y escribir sobre todos los que nos comunicamos contigo y te queremos tanto. Si quieres empieza por mi. Analizame, you are going to have fun. Y just a humble suggestion, el titulo del libro debe ser "EL MAMEY COOOOLORAO". Me uno al grupo de los admiradores de "LA LUNA". Es tan misteriosa, tan poderosa, y tan bella. Todo lo que encuentro sobre ella lo leo. Tengo una perrita que se llama Luna, y aunque no tienes sus caracteristicas, cuando se puno carinosa es mi Luna Cascabelera. Yo fui ayer a ver carros y te cuento que en Miami no hay carros pequenos. Con lo de los Clunkers se han acabado. El vendedor me dijo que esta semana empezaban a llegar lo nuevos. Yo tengo un compass de la Jeep que me gusta mucho y es muy economico. Voy a tratar de comprar otro. Ayer solo tenian uno y era rojo y aunqe es uno de mi colores favoritos no estoy en el mood para un red car. Asi que vamos a ver que pasa, tengo que apurarme porque mi clunker califica para los $4,500 y tengo que aprovechar. Vamos a ver si puedo comprar a Melvin #2 En estos dias te voy a llamar para recordarte las canciones que cantabamos en la guagua. My friends Rene and Arturo who lived up the street in Escanaba, had a very nice older couple who provided them with a nice foster home, but many more stories could be told in the negative about others, and they were getting money for taking care of us too, so not everyone was kind back in the 60's, there were as many predators then as they are now. My thoughts always go to those poor children who have lost their families due to war and may have to suffer similar fates...may God be with them to protect their innocence.

Yolanda, if not completely getting over it, I will certainly overcome this hurdle. I'm actually in awe of how many caring people have expressed their sentiments without having ever met me and I feel like I've made 'instant' friends with you, Jose Antonio Amaro, Nelson del Valle, Carmen Romanach, Carmen Valdivia to name a few. Well, Yolanda, there you have it. I'm not the only who thinks you should write a book. "Oye, yo creo que tú teha' equivocao conmigo; ser compay de monte adentro no significa mentecato. ¡Mira, no seré cienfueguero como tú, pero yo también como candela!" In other words, just as I can spot a tiger a mile away by its stripes, I can also spot the makings of a very good writer. Like Carmecita said: "Déjate de egoísmos con tus hermanos de Pedro Pan." So get with the program "y no te hagas rogar que no te pega." You catch my drift? "Por cierto que la descripción de cómo te paseabas, bajo la luz de la luna, por los cultivos de chile en Nuevo Mexico me recordó la novela The Milagro Beanfield War." Querida Yolanda, ayer tuvimos una reunion muy bonita, con 61 pedropanes, imaginate! Te echamos en falta, tu eres parte muy importante de este grupo y se que estabas con nosotros en el corazon, de verdad tengo muchisimas ganas de darte un abrazo en persona, me parece que te conozco de toda la vida. Lo que si puedo prometerte es que NUNCA va a haber un batido de mamey en ninguna reunion, hasta que no llegues tu! Creo que nos vamos a pelear todos por poderte dar ese gusto, que tu te mereces. Tambien quiero sumar mi voto a la sugerencia de que escribas un libro, tienes un don muy especial y hay que compartirlo, chica! Nada de egoismos a estas horas, con tus hermanitos pedropan.....Tambien queria que me dijeras como fue que lograste que te invitaran a la fiesta de noviembre 7, porque a mi nadie me ha invitado todavia(aunque pienso ir, ya tengo mi chaleco blindado de todas formas).
