Muchos carinos, tu hermana Pedro Pan - Mary

Dear Emy, So wonderful to hear that you have found one of your closest friends. It is truly amazing what can happen after all these years. And to think that for many years most of us kind of went our ways, grew up, went to college, got married, had children, and then we grew older and one day we needed that part of our lives to be relived. Now we are thinking back of our past, and the most exciting part, is that some of us have been blessed with the luck to find the ones we are looking for. Love, Niurka

Dear Emy, You said it, "my wishes came through". I found my friend and spoke with her on Sunday. When this website went active and I put out an email to see if anyone knew her, I was able to communicate with two sisters who grew up with her. They also lost track, with a few pieces of information on last adresses, US Search and our constant communication, not only did I find her but found her parents also. I was able to speak with them, and then the next day with her. Also this made it possible for Angelita's mother and the two girls from Pedro Pan' mother to speak again as they were best friends in Cuba. This is a wonderful site and I hope others are able to find their old friends. Best wishes, NiurkA

Emy, I love your story also. I fully agree with you. We have to be so grateful to the americans that opened their harts to us and made us feel welcome. I have so many memories of my High School teachers and friends. Everyone wanted to know about Cuba. My Goverment teacher asked me to give a speech on communism and I was delighted. With my broken English and the words I had to look up in the dictionary, I have no idea how it came across. Nice to hear from you.
