On a cloudy afternoon on June 8, 1962 I arrived from my native Cuba in what was to become a life long journey of discovery. By way of the Pedro Pan airlift, I, together with several thousand Cuban ki...
You must be a very unselfish human being....you do not dwell on your pain and suffering but rather, paid tribute to your wonderful foster family. My cousins were also blessed with a loving and caring foster family in Boonton, NJ.
If not for the Johnson family then my mom wouldn't of been the person that you became, and hence the mother that I admired and looked up to. Thank you for being everything a son could ever ask for, and soon, you will have a grandchild to spoil!
Love,
Roly
No doubt those were difficult times. Even though my story is a little different, I can also relate to those feelings. Thank God that I was reunited with my mother 5 years after, but nevertheless, there were those days that I really missed the warm embrace and words of comfort as I was growing up without her. No doubt that you have turned out to be a wonderful and caring person and I always admire your courage and determination.
Love you always.
Vicky - You're like a sister to me, and yes my dear friend, the Johnson's had quite an impact in your life because you returned out to be one of the most courageous, caring, inspiring person that I know. Like Mrs. Johnson, you have blessed my life in many ways. Love you much.
Vicky - I think I knew you from Baldor and your Dade worked for the school board in Miami where I retired from. Your story is very touching - I will be posting my soon.
