left Kendal for La. and lived in the Don Bosco Boys Home, after having to escape from the boys home due to threats--along with the rest of the cubans there,
was placed in a foster home with Marvin and Lucille Coco in Bordelonville, La.

lived in various states, Louisiana, Alabama, So. Carolina and came to Texas in 1980.
currently own a small business www.ActionAdvertising.com and teach as an adjunct faculty member in the evenings for the Dallas County Community College District
After about 30 years of having been away from any Cubans/Cuban activities, or even speaking spanish, I was able to re-connect with to some old friends like Eduardo Aguirre, with whom in grew up in Havana and was made to feel at home, and brought back in to the Cuban community by Elly Chovel.
I have been able to find an re-establish some family contacts again and created a website www.RaulBello.com with some additional information regarding friends and family members.
Believe it or not, I am now involved in Salsa music..of all things, even to the tune of DJing on occassional events (DJ El Viejo-lol)....the last memories of Cuban music I remembered were those of Orquesta Aragon....
...have I had to fill in the blanks !
