Gillermo even though I did not had the privilege of knowing you personally, in your life story, I see mine, i'm 69 y/o now and remember like it was yesterday the day of August 15th 1962 when I arrived to this land of freedom, you are now in Paradise and I know that, one day I'll be there too, may God bless your wife and family and may you Rest In Peace in the arms of Our Lord.

My condolances are with his family. Imeet guillermo thru work, and he always showed me respect and friendship. He taught me alot, info that i still use today, everyday.. he will be sourly missed.

my condolences to the family. I read of willies passing on the U.M magazine. I also was a fellow student. I remember willie helping me in my statics class back in 1969-70. I just heard of the passing of Guillermo, and I would like to express my sympathy to his friends and family. OBITUARY: PAZ, GUILLERMO RICARDO, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, May 27, 2012 at the age of 61 after a short illness has died at home surrounded by his ever loving family and at total peace, having lived a full life and looking forward to being in the arms of his Eternal Father. A Pedro Pan child, who arrived alone in the USA in 1961, graduate from Miami Jackson High school in 1968 and from the University of Miami School of Architecture in 1973. He became a registered architect in 1976, becoming Florida's youngest registered architect at the time. His skills as an architect were only surpassed by his love for his family. He was an avid golfer, a marksman, and traveled extensively. He is survived by his wife Carmen Valdivia, his stepchildren Diego R. del Pino and wife Virginia and Eric del Pino and wife Rebecca; grandchildren Paloma, Diego and Eric; nephew Tommy Gomez and wife Teresa; nieces Betty Pace and husband Alex and Vanessa Paz; mother-in-law Leonor Valdivia. Visitation will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Hwy., Miami on Wednesday, May 30, from 5:00pm to 12:00 midnight. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31, 10:00 am at Epiphany Catholic Church, 8081 SW 54 Court, Miami, followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25 Street, Miami. Querido Guillermo: Tanto los que disfrutaron de tu amistad como aquellos que como yo nos quedamos con las ganas de estrechar tu mano te echaremos mucho de menos. Fuiste hombre de buena fe, amigo irreemplazable y compañero pedropan de los buenos. Todos lamentamos tu pérdida porque sin duda alguna "un manotazo duro, un golpe helado // un hachazo invisible y homicida // un empujón brutal te ha derribado" injustamente antes de tiempo.
