Pedro, I hope you would also want to connect with some Pedro Pan sisters, because I am a sister and just had to write a comment to you. Well, you and I might even be distantly related, as my great-grandmother was a Padrón. She was from Las Villas. Another thing we have in common is that my childhood asthma completely disappeared during my stay in New Mexico, where it was my lot to spend a difficult year of my life. Reading your story I felt a bit of that old jealousy that I had for boys, who seemed to be able to have more adventures and get away with much more mischief than we girls did. But in the end I am perfectly content to just read about it. You keep those bullies and blanket thieves under control and write as much as you want. You tell a story well.
