Carmencita, lamento mucho el fallecimento de Isa. Soy Tere Noy, me recuerdas?

I was born here in the US to Cuban parents in the mid 60's. Although not a part of Pedro Pan, I feel your pain. Despite not "leaving" Cuba, I am very much a part of it through the endless pain of my grandparents and parents. Thank you for sharing.

Maria del Carmen, My sister Nancy and I were in Casa Suarez with you and your sister. We arrived August 28 and left on October 12, 1962. You might not remember us because we were there for a short time. They used to call us "acueducto" because we used to cry a lot. Also you and your sister had two similar green dresses. You let us borrowed the dresses to welcome our parents at the airport. It was nice to hear about your success story. Very sorry to hear about Isa. Sara Cruz

Right on Sister! I went through the same experience although most of my time in Cuba was spent en Cayo Hueso, barrio habanero, before arriving here. My U S experience has had its ups and downs but that also happens to the greatest in any field of endeavor. You can look me up-who knows we may have crossed paths-in the registry. I'm Manuel Esteban Gutierrez Arnao- Date of Arrival at Miami-August 3rd 1962 at age 12. Lived, schooled and worked for USPS -my career-in Los Angeles, California for a good 38 years and now I just kick it. I retired early. Love, Manuel
