Hey, Mary...been a while since we communicated here. In you mentioning Pahokee reminded me that when I moved back to Miami, right around 1967-68 more or less, I hung out with a group of friends from El Surgidero de Batabano and one of the guys asked me to be his girfriend while the whole group were visiting with friends in Pahokee. So don't even think about hiding because I do know where that is. Besides, I hear that you like to 'colar cafe' for the travelers!. Saludos.

Hello Maria, a very detail story. Funny I was in Sacramento two weeks ago playing senior softball. You were one of the lucky one's to have your parents show up so quickly. I waited 5 yrs to meet again but that reunion at the Portland Oregon airport is something that will always bring tears to my eyes. While reading your story I felt for your first day, how scary was that? My mother lives in Miami and me in Corona, California. We are actually further now, but I talk to her every day between 8& 9 PM something I was not able to due back then. So it doesn't feel as far. Were is your town in Florida? I travel throught Florida playing ball and never ran into your town. Us Pedro Pan have a unique bond for one another, no one can really know what we experience, only we know. Carlos Becerra

Muchas Gracias, Graciela.

Dear Mary. What a beautiful photo! I've missed our e-mail exchanges. I wanted to give you time to settle down after the trip, but I'm ready to resume our wonderful comunications. Así que hasta muy pronto! Yoli
