Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am finally on the database. I had to do a lot of changes, name, gender, birthdate, etc., but that's fine. Thanks for the email alerting me. Maria Hernandez Mills

Thank you so much for having put together this database which allows Pedro Pans to read about the personal stories of others and see how similar it is many of us!!!!! I think that one of the reasons for the database to be incomplete is that it appears that it has recorded those children arriving under the sponsorship of the Catholic church. In order for this to make sense to a non participant, you must realize that upon arrival at the Miami airport you were asked your religion, Catholic, Protestant or Jewish at which time you were sent in different directions according to your religious affiliation. Those of us who were Protestant were sent through a different line than the Catholics, therefore not being "recorded" by Mr. George. I've searched the database for other Protestant Pedro Pans and likewise they do not appear in the database. A second problem that I have encountered is that my date of arrival in Miami, September 23, 1961 does not appear to be recorded. Again, thank you!!

Hi, My name is Pedro Rodriguez Melendez. I came to the US through Pedro Pan in 1961. Upon searching the database, I found besides there being two (2) records of me, that my arrival date and location are wrong. My arrival date is September 1, 1961 and the location is Miami, not Florida City. The date that appears on the database is the date I arrived at Florida City after being with a cubnan family for a few months. This probably happened because I was 8 years old at the time, and I came alone because there was no room on the plane with my sisters (Olimpia and Martha Elena), who came 3 days earlier on 8/29/1961. I probably was not logged at arrival, but later, when I got to Florida City. Please correct my information. Thank you very much and congratulations for a job very well done. Pedro

Thank you so much for putting up with me regarding the last picture. My mistake, I scanned it and did not use a JPEG format, so it wasn't loading, now is there. I would like to thank you for making this such a wonderful way to find old friends and share our stories. They are all very similar, some better than others, some make you cry. I have been reading for days now. Is there a way where a list can be populated based on Houseparent's names? I remember faces but it is hard remembering names, especially when you want to erase the memories of that time. Thanks, Niurka Monfort-Gutierrez Strong

Is the "people you might know" the same as "requests"?
