DOES ANYONE REMEMBER SISTER PAULINA? She was among the nuns who cared for Pedro Pan children at Kendall camp and then Florida City from 1961 to 1963. Sister Paulina was only 21 when she was at the camps. She now lives in Mexico and is visiting Miami until Aug. 6. She would like to reconnect with some of the children she helped comfort. To see a photo of her today, go to Carmen Romanach's story on this website. She has uploaded a photograph of her and the sister. To contact, Sister Paulina message at Carmencita215@aol.com.

Dear Pedro Pan Administration, I just would like to thank all of you who put this website together and worked so hard to help us communicate and find old friends. The week the website went active, I emailed asking for help to see if there was anyone that knew my best friend in Fla. City named Angelita Alayon. She is on the list but had no registered. I received a lot of responses from girls, but no one knew where she was. Then one day, on person emailed me back and told me that she and her sisters, grew up on the same block, and their mothers were best friends but that the last time they spoke my friend and her husband were living in NY. With that information, I was able to use US Search and found two addresses, her maiden name and then her husband's name and her married name, and a phone number that would only ring and no one answered. So, I as the two sisters and I became closer and emailed each other constantly with more information, I decided to write a letter to her and verify if she was the same person I was looking for. I remembered her birhthday, and the two sisters verified her birhtday, so I knew I was on the right track. I decided to search for her parents who luckly had a listed phone number. I verified with them her birthday, and then asked them to have her call me. By then the letter had reached her and she emailed me letting me know she would call the next day. So we spoke and we both thought it was amazing to be able to talk again. Not only did I find her and her parents, but the two sisters and my friend were able to reunite again. An the neatest thing of all is that their Moms, who are in their 90s, were able to speak on the phone to each other. I just wanted to share this with everyone, so they can see how wonderful this website is, and how it will help us find our old friends and make new ones. Niurka Monfort Strong
