This is a clarification to those volunteers who run the Pedro Pan site. I have as lead photograph on my profile a painting of Jose Marti in loincloth fighting three rabid animals. The painting depicts Marti in loincloth in reference to the condition in which most of our Cuban brothers and sisters find themselves today: hungry, threatened and without clothes. However, Marti in this role is Hercules (as in the original Zurbaran painting) and he is battling three monsters identified by their medallions (Nazism, Communism and Fascism). I make no money from this book, so it is not a commercial advertisement. This book is product of my Peter Pan experience, under which I learned the sanctity and inviolability of the family (even if your father is still in Cuba), as well as the importance of tolerance and respect for differences of opinion and the great danger that lies in self-censorship, as we so often see in Miami. My ultimate point: we've no chance of democracy for Cuba, until we learn to live and breath democracy in Miami. I hope this clarifies any concerns you may have regarding this painting on my site. Thanks, Tony Gonzalez
