Thanks for the nice comment about the fact that you liked my story and about my job with the Cuban Refugee Assistance Program. When you read the story I had not finished it. There are additional facts if you care to go back to reading it concerning the experience with my fellow Cubans. It was 1972, and I was only 23 yrs. and just out of the university...it marked me forever in a very beautiful way. Thanks for your interest. Hope to meet you soon during the Pedro Pan upcoming events. Keep me posted please!! Lillian Pons

A SONG THE PEDRO PANS ONCE SANG. At Juanita's party last weekend, many Pedro Pans gathered to sing songs they used to sing while staying at the camps in Miami-Dade. Thanks to Mercy Argiz here are the lyrics to one song: Somos niños cubanos, oiganlo bien; Somos niños cubanos, oiganlo bien; Que venimos refugiados por culpa de Fidel; Que venimos refugiados por culpa de Fidel.

Dear Luisa: Thank you so much for your message. Of course I am sending you the words to our camp song. I remember them well because I wrote them. I was so glad this weekend when I realized that many of us remembered them well. Well, now you have the song. Please let me know if there is anything else you need. Un abrazo, Mercy Argiz

Dear LY: You are sooooooo responsible for the success of this past week in Miami. Many of us reunited or met for the first time as a result of this network which you originated. It is a total hit! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Oh, yes, and thank you for your OK to keep on trucking here! It was a pleasure to meet you and hope to chat with you again in the future. Warm regards.
