Christabelle's Quarter
Description:
It seems baffling that the sultry, sumptuous cuisine of New Orleans has always been a hard sell here, but Christabelle’s setting should help Miamians get it; architect Carlos Perez da Costa’s knockout new knock-off of a Bourbon Street palace is a magic carpet ride to the Big Easy. Inside, chef Alex Patout, whose famed French Quarter restaurant was ruined by Hurricane Wilma, cooks Cajun and Creole classics plus his own regionally-rooted creations: lump crab imperial with mustard dressing, shrimp remoulade, crawfish tails with a trio of dipping sauces, and gumbos as opulent and evocative as the setting in which it’s served.
