Spanish version of Suite101 launched

Similar stories:

The Vancouver-based website Suite101.com, which features non-fiction work from freelance writers, officially launched a Spanish version -- Suite101.net -- on Monday at the Shore Club Hotel in Miami Beach.

The site pays writers based on how how much money is generated from advertising attached to their stories.

About 40 writers and editors for Suite101.net are working out of Miami, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Mexico and Madrid.

Although the headquarters are in Madrid, the company wanted to kick off the site's launch in Miami because ``it really is the hub of the Spanish-speaking world,'' said Peter Berger, president and CEO of Suite101.com.
