1. NEED MORE ROOM
At some point, as a home business grows, so does the need for more employees and desks. When you outgrow your space, it's time to move out.
2. NEED FOR BALANCE
When it's tooIt can be difficult to juggle family and work life. Someone may have in-home care, but if the kids can't stand seeing mom or dad at home and unavailable to play, it may be too much for everyone.
3. TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS
Working from home requires discipline and there are many distractions (TV, refrigerator, friends). Not everyone is able to block out those distractions and they need to rent outside space.
4. HUMAN INTERACTION
Working from home can be lonely and not everyone enjoys spending the day in front of a computer without interacting with anyone else. It's not surprising to see professionals camped out at Starbucks, an office away from the home office.
5. CLIENT VISITS
Not every home office is conducive for meeting with clients. If there are kids running around and a client has to walk to the back of a house to reach a home office, professionalism goes down. Not all clients understand a work-from-home situation and an outside office is a better solution.
