Zurich Global Corporate CEO Mario Vitale to Deliver Opening Keynote Address at 2009 World Captive Forum

Mario Vitale, CEO of Global Corporate for Zurich Financial Services will deliver the opening keynote address at the 2009 World Captive Forum. Vitale will kick off the 19th annual conference on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at 9 a.m. ET.

Vitale joins a prestigious list of previous keynote speakers at the Forum that include Joel Wood, SVP of Government Affairs for Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, and Robert P. Hartwig, Ph.D., CPCU, president & chief economist for Insurance Information Institute.

Vitale will share insights gained through his more than 30 years of experience working in leadership positions for a global and dynamic insurance industry. His keynote will focus on how businesses, following a period of unprecedented turmoil, are seeking assurances about the security of their financial partners, including insurance companies. He will share his views on global challenges and opportunities facing the insurance industry and its customers, as well as insights into broader risk financing trends and developments to come.

As CEO of Zurich Global Corporate, Vitale has responsibility for all Zurich Global Corporate business, which serves customers and brokers in more than 170 countries. Prior to joining Zurich in October 2006, Vitale worked with the global broker, Willis Group Holdings, for six years and as CEO of Willis North America, for four years.

Vitale is a member of the Board of Trustee's of St. John's University College of Insurance in New York, the Board of Directors of AICPCU and the Board of the American Insurance Association. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. He is a graduate of St. John's University College of Insurance, New York.
