Shell combats cigarette sales to minors

Shell Oil Products U.S. has agreed to take steps to reduce cigarette sales to minors at 13,000 gas stations, including 76 in Vermont.

Florida and 45 other states and the District of Columbia have signed an agreement with Shell and its joint venture, Motiva Enterprises.

The deal requires convenience stores located at the gas stations to train store employees and do compliance checks. There are 968 Shell stations in Florida.
