2 former NH Circuit City properties sold

MANCHESETER, N.H. -- Two former Circuit City stores in southern New Hampshire have new owners.
The New England branch of the commercial real estate broker CB Richard Ellis says each location was sold for $3.5 million.
The 33,100-square foot Manchester location was purchased by Quirk Automotive Group while the 34,900-square foot Portsmouth asset was purchased by Ocean State Job Lot of Portsmouth.
Last fall Circuit City filed for bankruptcy protection. In March, it closed 567 stores across the country and laid off about 34,000 workers.
Roger Dieker of CB Richard Ellis says both New Hampshire locations are situated in their respective city's most active retail corridor.
