Menderes Akdag, president and CEO of PetMed Express in Pompano Beach, was named a national finalist in Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 award in the retail and consumer products category.

PetMed Express, also known as 1-800-PetMeds, is a pet pharmacy.

The overall winner was Tom Adams, president and CEO of Rosetta Stone.
