Last week's South Florida International Auto Show attracted about 10,000 more visitors than last year's event, organizers said Tuesday.
The 10-day show, which ended Sunday, attracted an estimated 532,000 people, a 2 percent increase from 20008, according to the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association, which organizes the event.
The show featured about 1,000 vehicles at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Many dealers have seen double-digit sales declines because of the recession, and they hope customers will come to the showroom in the months to come to buy cars they saw at the show.
