Attorney general seeks injunction against W. Palm timeshare firm

The Florida Attorney General's Office asked the courts Monday for an emergency injunction against a West Palm Beach timeshare resale operation, claiming the company took up to $2,500 in marketing fees from hundreds of customers but did little or nothing in return.
State regulators said more than 400 people may have been deceived by Creative Vacation Solutions, which previously did business as Universal Marketing Solutions. Also named in the action filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court were owners and officers Jennifer Kirk, Scott Kirk, John Egan and Ryan Brazel. Creative Vacation Solutions had been fined $9,000 by the state earlier this year for hiring unlicensed agents and failing to register.
Company representatives declined comment.
The lawsuit seeks restitution for consumers. Anyone with a complaint or claim against the companies should call 866-966-7226 or go to http://www.myfloridalegal.com.
