Travel Threats
(www.travelthreats.com) announced today an initiative to provide direct
support for relief efforts in Myanmar. For the next 45 days, 25 percent of
revenue from the purchase of Travel Threats Country Reports will be donated to
the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) relief operations
supporting the millions of individuals in need within weather ravaged Myanmar.
Tara Boyd, Executive Vice President of Travel Threats stated, "The
situation in Myanmar is extremely dire; Travel Threats is honored to provide
our full support for the operations of the ICRC. While our normal
responsibilities include providing comprehensive threat information warning
individuals of possible consequences of travel, when a catastrophic event such
as the cyclone which struck Myanmar occurs, we are called to help in any way
we can. In addition to the monetary donations to the ICRC, relief
organizations will be provided a free comprehensive Myanmar Travel Threats
Country Report for the duration of relief effort operations."
Boyd further stated, "Individuals desiring a free Myanmar country report,
or additional details of our ICRC support initiative, should e-mail the Travel
Threats support team at MyanmarRelief@travelthreats.com."
About Travel Threats:
Travel Threats is a major provider of risk analysis services to corporate,
industry and private travelers worldwide. The company provides unmatched
expertise and produces comprehensive country analysis, coupled with personal
security recommendations, to reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim while
traveling internationally. Travel Threats Country Reports identify specific
risks within a country related to Terrorism, Criminal Activity, Internal and
Civil Unrest, Inclement Weather, Transportation Infrastructure and Health and
General Safety Concerns.
In addition to comprehensive country analysis, worldwide threat
information is graded against 250 threats to safe travel contained within
Travel Threats proprietary country specific Threat Matrix(TM). Graded
numerical results for each topic area are depicted in a Travel Threats Country
Score between 0 (low) to 100 (high). The Travel Threats Country Report, with
the included graded score, allows for critical information to judge "go" or
"no-go" criteria for potential international travel.
