BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. --
Travelers to Miami will have even more to choose from as Hilton
Hotels & Resorts opened the doors to its newest metropolitan property,
the Hilton Miami Downtown. Located in Miami's bustling and burgeoning
downtown district, the contemporary 527-room hotel features newly
renovated guestrooms, including 58 suites that overlook Biscayne Bay
and the downtown skyline. Previously operated as the Miami Biscayne
Hotel, the Hilton Miami Downtown is a premier full-service hotel
located near the city's financial district, recently built Adrienne
Ardsht Performing Arts Center, and world-class restaurants and
shopping opportunities. Its location coupled with expansive meeting
space makes the hotel an ideal choice for business, leisure and
convention guests. The new Hilton joins two others: the Hilton Miami
Airport and the Hilton Bentley on South Beach.
The Hilton Miami Downtown is operated by Argent Ventures, LLC
under a franchise license agreement with Hilton Inns, Inc., a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation. The hotel is
owned by Morgan Stanley and Argent Ventures, and managed by Pyramid
Hotel Group.
"This centrally-located hotel offers guests easy access to the
best of Miami, from beaches to business," says Jeff Diskin, senior
vice president, Brand Management, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. "We are
pleased to offer guests more opportunities to stay with us in South
Florida with this new edition to our portfolio."
Each guestroom has been newly furnished with the Hilton Serenity
Collection(R) of upscale in-room amenities, which includes the Hilton
Serenity Bed Suite Dreams(R) mattress by Serta(R), Pacific Coast(R)
mattress pads and top-quality linens and pillows. Standard amenities
also include the Hilton Serenity Bath Collection, featuring the
exclusive Crabtree & Evelyn line of La Source(R) bath products; a
Cuisinart(R) dual-cup, single brew coffeemaker and Lavazza(R) coffee;
and the easy-to-set Hilton Family alarm clock with MP3 player
connectivity. All of the hotel's 528 rooms are equipped with 27-inch
screen televisions and high-speed Internet access.
Just minutes away from South Beach, American Airlines Arena,
Coconut Grove, Miami Seaquarium, Orange Bowl and Miami International
Airport; ten minutes from some of the most amazing world-class
beaches; and five minutes from the Port of Miami; the Hilton Miami
Downtown boasts a premium location for all guests. For added
convenience, the hotel is connected to the Metro Mover, a free light
rail service that takes guests to several restaurants and shopping
areas downtown, including the Bayside Marketplace.
Guests can take advantage of the hotel's rooftop pool with views
of Miami, or break a sweat in the fitness center featuring Hilton
Fitness by Precor equipment. Those looking for outdoor adventures can
go sailing, fishing or golfing or experience a variety of other
recreational activities just minutes from the hotel. Several famous
Florida attractions are also located nearby, such as Jungle Island,
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Florida Everglades, Miami Metro Zoo,
Carnival Center for the Performing Arts, Key Biscayne, Historic Art
Deco District, Dolphin Mall, Little Havana Historic District and
Bayside Marketplace.
Meeting planners and attendees can enjoy the Hilton Miami
Downtown's 43,000 square feet of function space, including one of the
largest ballrooms in the downtown area. The hotel also features a
24-hour business center and multi-lingual staff who can assist you
with your meeting needs including audio/visual equipment rental.
