GLASTONBURY, Conn. --
Open Solutions Inc.(R), a leading provider of integrated enabling
technologies for financial services providers across the United
States, Canada and other international markets, recently hosted its
2008 Annual Client Conference in Orlando, Fla., from April 5 - 9. The
conference attracted close to 1,600 financial services executives,
industry professionals and partners from throughout the world. More
than 110 conference sponsors and exhibitors also participated in a
Solutions Expo, where attendees could learn about the latest products
and services Open Solutions offers as well as complementary technology
products.
During the conference, clients and prospects attended
presentations on the latest industry, technology and business trends
and company initiatives and updates. Pre-conference training workshops
provided intensive training on key core system modules such as
lending, deposit, security, relational pricing as well as best
practices. Workshops and demonstrations of Open Solutions' full
product line were also part of the conference agenda. The company also
placed special emphasis on showcasing the latest release of its
popular relational core offering The Complete Banking Solution: DNA /
The Complete Credit Union Solution: DNA for all attendees, which was
recently launched in early March. Attendees were able to attend the
numerous knowledge workshops, demonstrations and seminars scheduled
throughout the four days on the DNA product.
Prior to the opening day of the conference, Open Solutions
Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez, Jr. hosted a pre-conference Senior
Executive Forum (SEF) designed specifically for C-level executives.
During the SEF, attendees heard from industry experts on the latest
trends affecting the financial market and discussed Open Solutions'
corporate direction and product strategy.
"Open Solutions' conferences have exceptionally
depoliticized-environments," said Juli Anne Callis, EVP and COO of
KeyPoint Credit Union. "Regardless of whether an attendee is from a
bank or a credit union, everyone comes together with software
commonalities and a shared interest to discuss emerging trends. It's
truly refreshing to see everyone work together."
"In terms of content, Louis' executive forum is a very important
segment of the conference," continued Callis. "It is important to our
organization for Louis to cast his vision of Open Solutions' future,
and I look forward to his presentations every year."
SEF attendees were also provided the opportunity to exchange
valuable feedback on how Open Solutions and client organizations can
work together more effectively.
"Open Solutions does an exceptional job with its client
conferences," said Mike Casella, vice president of Eagle Bank. "Not
only was the conference well organized and well managed, but the
company's management team was visible throughout the entire event.
It's very important to clients to shake hands and build relationships
with the company's decision makers, and this evidences Open Solutions'
commitment to its clientele. Furthermore, the conference sessions were
extremely informative. One in particular was very beneficial to us
because it showcased a product that Eagle Bank is soon to install. By
learning about another institution's experience, we were able to
better prepare ourselves for the future."
According to Open Solutions Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez, Jr.,
"As the financial services industry continues to change, the value of
the annual client conference continues to grow. This years' conference
was designed to provide a vibrant forum for collaboration and a
perfect venue for our clients to interact with their colleagues from
across the financial services industry as well as our own Open
Solutions' team. This four-day event provided a wonderful opportunity
for our clients to learn more about Open Solutions, our products and
services, and our initiatives."
"Each year, our clients representing institutions of all kinds
gather to discuss common trends that affect the industry, and through
our open forums, we discuss business strategies related to those
trends," Hernandez continued. "In addition, these conferences
encourage client feedback to enhance products and services. Open
Solutions values this insight as it helps us to continually enhance
and round-out our product and service offerings as well as reinforces
our strong commitment and desire to provide excellent service to our
clients."
The 2009 Open Solutions Client Conference will be held in April
24-29, 2009, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV.
