AirTran Airways Reports All-Time Record April Traffic

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today reported record traffic for the month of April 2008. The airline reported that revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and available seat miles (ASMs) represent new all-time company records for the month of April.

For April, traffic grew by 5.7 percent to more than 1.5 billion RPMs based on a 9.9 percent increase in capacity. The company's load factor for the month was 73.9 percent. The airline enplaned more than 1.9 million passengers for the month, a 0.4 percent decrease from April 2007.
