Sale Fares in Bloom Now on AirTran Airways

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched a sale with fares starting as low as $39*. Travelers may purchase these sale fares at airtran.com or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.

These special fares are available for purchase through April 25, 2008 and are good for travel on nonstop flights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through June 11, 2008. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or an overnight stay.

Following is a sample of the one-way sale fares. All fares require a 10-day advance purchase and are valid in either direction:

     * All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per
       person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable
       increase in airfare. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an
       AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $10 per
       person. Ten-day advance purchase required. Tickets must be purchased by
       April 25, 2008. Sale fares are valid for travel through June 11, 2008.
       Sale fares are valid for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Sale fares
       are valid on nonstop flights only. Seats are limited, subject to
       availability, and may not be available on all flights. Blackout dates
       are as follows: May 27, 2008. Service to/from Seattle begins May 6,
       2008. Service to/from Burlington, Vermont begins May 21, 2008. Service
       to/from San Antonio begins June 11, 2008. Fares, routes, and schedules
       are subject to change without notice. Fares do not include per-segment
       tax of $3.50. A segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. The
       September 11th security fee of up to $10 is not included. Airport
       Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18 are not included. Fares to/from
       Puerto Rico do not include additional government taxes of up to $30.80.
