Advice from the Business Plan Challenge judges
Learn as much as you can about and from your competition before you start -- even if it means doing an unpaid (temporary) internship if the field is new to you. This will pay off in knowing how to differentiate yourself. Also, ask others in your same type of business for their advice on software, accountants, website and logo designers, lawyers, helpful websites, etc. And there are lots of resources that are free or at minimal cost, such as SCORE, UM's The Launch Pad, FIU's Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center, websites, etc.
