The following are some of the latest sports highlights for Conchita Espinosa Academy:
Christian de Quesada won the 200- and 400-meter dashes at the Fr. Jorge Sardina S.J. Invitational. He also won three gold medals for the long jump and the 100- and 200-meter dashes and one bronze medal for the 400-meter dash at the MS South Regional Qualifier April 19.
The school's varsity football team beat Highpoint Academy 34-6 and 25-13. In the first game, wide receiver Christian de Quesada and quarterback Zachary Abdo each scored three touchdowns. In the second game, de Quesada scored three touchdowns and Abdo had two passing touchdowns.
On April 14, the varsity football team beat Doral Academy 49-12. Quarterback Zachary Abdo scored four touchdowns and wide receiver Edwin Pagan scored twice.
On April 23, the varsity football team defeated The Heritage School. Zachary Abdo scored five touchdowns and Christian de Quesada scored three.
On April 24, the school's junior varsity football team defeated Princeton Catholic Middle School 18-6. Quarterback William Fabra threw and completed several passes to Gabriel Perez, who scored three touchdowns.

Coach Pitch: White Sox 22-0, Blue Jays 15-6, Twins 13-8-1, Mets 11-9-3, Marlins 9-11-2, Dodgers 2-12-2, Yankees 2-16, Red Sox 0-12.
The Marlins beat the Mets 25-3. Tristian Correa, Peter Muina, Andres Mosquera and Sebastian Garcia all went 4 for 4 for the Marlins. Garcia also homered, doubled and tripled. For the Mets, Tyler Mendoza had two doubles, Joshua Gonzalez had a double and Kevin Encarnacion had a triple.
The Blue Jays defeated the Twins 23-15. Danny McAulife, Andres Maza, Gabriel Aparicio and Sean Perez all homered for the Blue Jays. Maza also doubled and tripled. For the Twins, Ernesto Medina hit a home run and Daniel Viera had two doubles and a triple.
The Marlins edged the Yankees 24-23. Tristian Correa went 6 for 6 with six runs scored for the Marlins. Peter Muina also went 6 for 6 and hit for the cycle. Andres Mosquera, Julian Mirabal and Anibal Quevedo each went 5 for 5.
The Twins edged the Dodgers 16-15. For the Twins, Cristian Otero homered, doubled and tripled. Jonathan Perez and Justin Chapman each went 4 for 4 with a triple. Daniel Viera doubled, and Orlando Hernandez and Ernesto Medina tripled.
The Mets beat the Red Sox 25-6. For the Mets, David Torres, Tyler Mendoza and Felipe Llanos each went 4 for 4 with two doubles apiece. Joshua Gonzalez, Claudio Cardozo and Shawn Wells each went 3 for 4. Gonzalez and Mendoza homered and tripled, and Llanos, Mario Barroso and Marcos Hernandez also homered.
8-under: Yankees 23-0-2, Warriors 17-5-2, Dodgers 12-6-2, Hurricanes 12-8-3, Royals 6-14-1, Marlins 5-13-1, Red Sox 4-15-1, Mets 2-20.
The Red Sox and the Hurricanes tied 2-2. John Victorero struck out 10 and allowed five walks in four innings pitched for the Canes. Ryan Pereda, Alejandro Hennera and Carlos Garcia combined for six stolen bases.
The Dodgers beat the Royals 11-1. Chaz Marte went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double and four RBI. Sammy Tauz and Michael Fajardo also doubled for the Dodgers.
The Yankees edged the Warriors 5-4. Robert Depaz struck out seven and allowed seven walks in four innings for the Yankees. Manny Rodriguez went 2 for 2 and Robert Sotolongo went 2 for 3. Roberto Velazquez doubled and Andres Montano tripled for the Warriors.
The Marlins beat the Mets 13-10. Mathew Crespo and Ryan Hernandez doubled for the Mets.
The Warriors edged the Dodgers 9-8. Pitchers Michael Ramirez, Jacob Labrada and Andres Montano combined for nine strikeouts and six walks for the Warriors. Labrada also homered, Montano tripled, and Giovanni Luciano went 2 for 2. For the Dodgers, Emmanuel Arias went 2 for 3 with one home run and one RBI, and Michael Fajardo went 2 for 2 with two RBI.
The Yankees shut out the Marlins 7-0. Carlos Flores went 1 for 1 with a home run for the Yankees. David Lopez, Jonathan Nuñez and Robert Sotolongo also went 1 for 1.
The Red Sox edged the Mets 11-10. Ryan Hernandez went 2 for 2 with a home run and triple, Mathew Crespo went 1 for 1 with a double, and Jovanny Felipe went 1 for 2 with a triple for the Mets.
The Hurricanes beat the Royals 16-4. Jose Lauzurique, Marc Rodriguez, Alejandro Hennera and Ryan Pereda each pitched one inning for the Canes, striking out seven and walking five. Alec Perez, Kyle Conway and Carlos Leal combined for five doubles.
10-under: Yankees 22-1, Angels 16-2-1, Mets 15-6-1, Reds 12-11, Phillies 8-12-1, Marlins 8-12, Red Sox 8-14-1, Hurricanes 5-13-3, Braves 5-13-2, Rangers 4-19-1.
The Yankees beat the Hurricanes 12-3. Christian Torres homered, Miguel Cardozo doubled, and Michael Lopez and Mario Parra tripled for the Yankees.
The Angels beat the Reds 15-10. Robert Espinosa went 2 for 2, Joe Sanchez went 2 for 3 and Gaby Diaz had a double for the Reds.
The Braves and the Red Sox tied 11-11. For the Red Sox, Alejandro Mosquera and Julio Renjifo went 2 for 3 with two RBI apiece, and Victor Quevedo and Joseph Nuñez each went 2 for 2 with two RBI.
The Marlins defeated the Rangers 10-5. Issaiah Llanes, JJ Galvis, Josh Lococo and Kyle Gomez combined for five stolen bases for the Rangers.
The Mets beat the Phillies 9-6.
The Braves beat the Reds 10-8. Gaby Diaz went 2 for 2 with a triple and one RBI, and Gabriel Correa and Nicholas Iturrioz had one RBI apiece for the Reds.
The Rangers edged the Mets 6-5. Ralph Rodriguez went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBI, and JJ Galvis, Andres Carvajal, Kyle Gomez and Elijah Colon had multiple stolen bases for the Rangers.
The Marlins beat the Red Sox 15-3. Alejandro Mosquera and Joseph Nuñez each went 1 for 2 with a double and one RBI for the Marlins.
10-under Majors: No Fear 17-5, Giants 11-9-1, Pirates 11-9-1, Regulators 3-19.
The Pirates beat No Fear 6-3. Chris Pinon had a double, and Ricky Barreto, Cameron Irvine, Jesus Barraza, Brian Ozuna and Donnovan Bosano each had stolen bases for the Pirates. Julio Perez and Michael Rodriguez doubled for No Fear.
The Giants edged the Regulators 6-5. Christopher Gomez went 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI for the Giants. Marcos Feria went 3 for 3 with one RBI and four stolen bases for the Regulators.
The Giants beat the Regulators 16-5. For the Giants, Aldahir Escudero, Christopher Gomez and Steven Leon each went 3 for 3 with two RBI, and Leon, Anthony Perez-Pino and Julio Veras had a double apiece.
No Fear beat the Pirates 8-4. Marcus Rabel and Julio Revoredo doubled for No Fear. Chris Pinon and Marcos Restrepo had a double apiece for the Pirates.
12-under: Yankees 18-0, Mets 13-7, Reds 5-12-1, Dodgers 5-12, Marlins 4-14-1.
The Yankees beat the Marlins 21-4. Pitcher Benjamin Murray struck out seven batters and scored two home runs for the Yankees. Jared Ali and Joseph Delgado also homered, Fernando Rabel had three doubles and Alex Rodriguez had two doubles.
The Mets beat the Reds 17-4. For the Mets, Marc Anthony Marzan and Danny Aldana each went 3 for 3 with a double, Freddy Martinez homered, Juan Carlos Del Toro doubled, and Marzan and Jordan Lamb tripled.
The Reds beat the Dodgers 9-5. The Mets beat the Marlins 12-3.
12-under Majors: Team Miami 24-0, Makos 19-3, Bombers 18-4-1, Venom 14-9-1, Big Red Machine 12-10-1, Scorpions 10-13, Gladiators 7-17, Aviators 5-17-1, Warriors 4-18, Defenders 0-22.
Team Miami shut out the Bombers 12-0. Venom beat the Aviators 14-5. The Big Red Machine defeated the Warriors 14-4. The Scorpions beat the Defenders 20-2. The Makos defeated the Gladiators 15-5.
The Scorpions beat the Gladiators 9-4. The Bombers beat Venom 8-4. The Aviators edged the Warriors 9-8. Team Miami shut out the Defenders 19-0. The Makos shut out the Big Red Machine 10-0.
14-under: Yankees 16-2-1, Dodgers 12-6-1, Orioles 6-12, Aviators 4-11-4, Cardinals 5-12-2.
The Yankees beat the Cardinals 7-5. Hilario Gonzalez and Joseph Ramirez doubled for the Cardinals. Gonzalez, Ramirez, Jonothan Arbela, Oscar Hernandez, Joel Leon and Isaac Prieto each had a stolen base.
The Orioles beat the Aviators 8-4. Justin Behney went 2 for 2 with a double, and Carlos Martinez and Orlando Navarro had a double apiece for the Aviators.
The Dodgers beat the Orioles 10-8 and the Cardinals 14-4.
14-under Majors: Snipers 19-2, Habana 17-4, Invaders 15-3-2, Mudcats 15-6-1, Makos 13-7-2, Stallions 12-9-2, Dragons 7-13, Cobras 6-16-2, Metro 6-17-1, Gladiators 3-16-1, Orioles 0-20-1.
The Snipers edged the Mudcats 5-4. The Stallions beat Metro 7-1. The Makos beat the Cobras 11-1.
The Invaders defeated the Dragons 9-1. Habana shut out the Cobras 13-0. Metro beat the Orioles 10-8.
The Makos shut out the Mudcats 7-0. The Invaders beat the Orioles 12-2. Metro defeated the Dragons 12-1. The Snipers defeated Habana 7-2.
18-under: Pirates 20-3, Braves 12-8-3, Habana 11-12-1, South Kendall Braves 9-10-3, Seadogs 10-11-1, Mets 2-20.
The Braves beat the Mets 7-0 and Habana 5-1. The Pirates beat the Braves 10-9 and the Mets 7-0. The South Kendall Braves beat the Mets 9-1. The Seadogs defeated Habana 11-3.
FOOTBALL
The Kendall Hammocks Warriors tackle football and cheerleading season will have open registration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17, June 7 and June 21 at Devon Aire Park, 10411 SW 122nd Ave.
The program is for boys and girls ages 5-14. Cost for tackle football is $155 and cheerleading is $145. Parents need to bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and a current picture.
The Kendall Hammocks Warriors are members of the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance and charter members of the Miami Xtreme Youth Football League.
