RASG HEBREW
ACADEMY
The RASG Hebrew Academy Lady Warriors girls' varsity flag football team earned its first district victory by defeating South Broward High School 8-6.
The Lady Warriors were led by captain Daiana Leimdorfer and freshman Debra Linfield with a combined 206 total yards and defensive leaders Jodie Davidson and Vilma Arango, who had four sacks apiece. Esther Moore and Sydney Altfield each contributed one interception.
Overall, Leimdorfer has a season-high 12 interceptions and seven touchdowns. Linfield is the leading passer with an average of 88 yards per game. Other outstanding players include Julie Harary, Ariella Raviv, Audrey Segura, Paige Sussman, Shoshana Saka, Sharon Lancri, Noushka Green, Shoshie Mond, Miriam Mond and Mollie Sussman.
Coached by Robyn Malek, Hebrew Academy was the first school in Miami-Dade County to participate in this sport on the Florida High School Athletic Association level. This is its fourth season.
MIAMI BEACH
The following are game highlights for Miami Beach Parks and Recreation as of April 24.
BASEBALL 7-8
Connor Goodman and Lucas Acovelli each had two hits and scored a run apiece to help the Yankees defeat the Pirates. Justin Louden also had a hit and scored a run for the Yankees. For the Pirates, Joel Perez had three hits, two RBI and scored a run. Marc Pagan had two hits and two RBI.
Joel Perez had four hits and scored four runs to lead the Pirates to victory over the White Sox. Adrian Alvarez also had two hits and scored a run for the Pirates. Santiago Vergora had two hits and scored two runs for the White Sox. Lucas Massolo and Harrison Tandy each had two hits and scored a run apiece.
The Yankees defeated the Indians 12-4. For the Yankees, David Abrams had two hits and scored two runs, and Mateo Orozco and Sebastion Ravelo each had three hits and scored two runs. For the Indians, Blake Miller, Mark Anton, Ashi Kristoff, Andreas Sosa and Andrew Weissman scored one run apiece.
The Orioles defeated the White Sox. For the White Sox, Ricky Hurtwitz began the game with a double, bringing in Quinn Liftshitfz. The Orioles responded with a double from Ryan Kinkead. Damien Salsberry hit the game-winning single that brought in one run.
Cameron Gitter and Ricky Hurtwitz both hit RBI doubles to give the White Sox a victory over the Orioles. Coby Barreros and Pablo Villatoro had doubles for the Orioles.
The Yankees defeated the Red Sox. Jonathan Vasollo and Lenny Rodriguez hit a double that brought in two runs apiece for the Yankees. For the Red Sox, Raymond Figueroa hit a line drive that brought in a runner from second base, and Evan Meissalman singled to drive in another runner from third.
BASEBALL 9-10
The Yankees edged the Tigers 16-15. For the Yankees, Davis Druckman scored two runs and had two hits and two RBI. Connor Reilly had two hits, an RBI and two runs. Edwin Urrutia and Matthew Keeler scored three runs apiece. For the Tigers, Oscar Martinez scored two runs and had a triple and one RBI. Sam Chanels scored a run and had a hit and one RBI. Agustin Bergeire had two hits, scored a run and had one RBI.
The Mets beat the White Sox 9-8. Abraham Osman hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning and the game-winning home run in the bottom of the fourth for the Mets. Robby Frankel hit a triple and a double and had three RBI for the White Sox.
Charlie Barbarie had a three-run triple, Joseph Imbessi hit a two-run home run and Noah Soocio hit a two-run double to lead the White Sox over the Tigers. Hunter Handy and Jake Squire struck out two batters apiece for the Tigers.
BASEBALL 11-12
The Flamingo Park Yankees edged the North Shore Park Tigers 9-8. Daniel Sanchez had a home run and one RBI, Barry Rappaport had two singles and two RBI, and Lucas Romar had the game-winning hit for the Yankees. Shawn Guerra had two hits and one RBI, Emilio Weiss scored two runs, and Mauricio Zuniga scored a home run for the Tigers.
The Yankees came from behind to defeat the Tigers 4-3. After being down two runs in the first inning, the Yankees responded with a two-run double from Patrick Blanco to take the lead 3-2. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Justin Borrero singled to bring the Tigers within one run. But Daniel Sanchez struck out the last two batters to seal the victory for the Yankees.
AVENTURA
The following are the playoff results for the Aventura Adult Men's Softball League as of April 27.
Results: Churchill's vs. Amigos 12-0, Bears vs. Petro 12-10, Aventura's Finest vs. Legacy Title 20-11.

SUMMER CAMP
The Pico Athletic Club will be hosting its second annual Summer Sports Camp at the Reagan/Doral High School from June 9 to July 25.
Registered boys and girls ages 7-15 will learn proper baseball and basketball fundamentals from an experienced coaching staff.
The six-week clinic will be offered as one-week sessions. Participants will be grouped according to age and ability.
Cost is $175 for the initial week, which includes registration, and $150 per additional weeks. Each participant will receive lunch, a camp T-shirt and various prizes and awards.
