At the Davie Town Hall, 6591 Orange Dr., someone ripped nine receptacle boxes from their base, removed the switch from a condensing unit, broke eight light shades and bulbs from a walkway and a gazebo, and damaged a wood directional sign for visitors. Damage was estimated at $1,000.</description>

Between 5:15 and 5:30 a.m. April 28, someone smashed the driver&amp;#39;s-side window of a woman&amp;#39;s 2007 Honda Odyssey van while she took her child into the Room to Grow Academy, 2550 S. Flamingo Rd. The burglar reached in and grabbed the woman&amp;#39;s purse from between the driver and passenger seats. The owner valued the the Coach purse at $860 and said it contained two uncashed checks totaling $3,850, as well as $400 in cash and credit cards.</description>
