Obama's first step puts Castro on the defensive
A drum roll and rim shot, please, for President Barack Obama. It has taken five decades, but he has finally accomplished what almost no other U.S. president has been able to do -- put the Castro regime on the defensive. In Havana, they're reacting to Obama's modest but meaningful overtures, not calling the shots and setting the agenda as Fidel Castro has successfully done with pretty much every president since JFK.
