Seattle is thinking about making shoppers pay 20 cents for every new paper or plastic bag. San Fransciso has outlawed plastic bags altogether at large supermarkets. Boston is also considering a ban, while Phoenix is giving away free canvas bags.

H illary Clinton says Barack Obama doesn't care about Florida and Michigan votes counting at the convention. She's right. Sorry, Florida Democrats. He's just not that into you, as one of the characters on HBO's Sex in the City learned the hard way. His campaign advisors, at times, have behaved as loutish as Mr. Big on his most commitment-phobic days.

Ten years later, Democrat Hillary Clinton is still blaming the ``vast, right-wing conspiracy.'' Only this time, instead of attacking her husband's integrity, the VRWC is depriving Florida Democrats of their voting rights.

In one week, a few thousand Florida Democrats will trudge to their local high school, union hall or community center to cast ballots in a Saturday morning election most voters will never hear about.
IN MY OPINION
What if they held an election and more than 1.7 million Florida Democrats came? That is the quandary facing Democrats, as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama slog it out, state to state, with neither in reach of the 2,025 delegates needed to claim the nomination.
Hillary wants you to choose her campaign song. John would like to meet you on Key Biscayne. And Barack is inviting you to join him for dinner.
