The Jon & Kate Plus 8 train wreck is no more. Except in rerun land.

On Monday's final episode of the TLC reality show about raising twins and sextuplets, the ex-couple was interviewed separately, both tearing up (yes, even Jon).

The 32-year-old admitted he has behaved badly, but only because he got married too young (22).

Even with all his dalliances, Kate, 34, doesn't want the children to stop spending time with their father, who is blissfully living the single life in NYC and using the family home in Pennsylvania as a place to ``chill.'' ``When I get sick of the city and all the press . . . I go back to my country place,'' he said. ``I've got the best of both worlds.''

Too bad Kate doesn't have an escape hatch.

SO LONELY

Speaking of living single . . . Rosie O'Donnell spoke out on her current status (partner Kelli Carpenter moved out two years ago). Asked by People.com how she was enjoying not being in a relationship, the comedian answered, ``I'm not.''

AMA FALLOUT

ABC has canceled Adam Lambert's planned performance on Good Morning America Wednesday.

The network said it's because of his racy spectacle at Sunday night's American Music Awards. The American Idol alum fondled a female dancer, kissed an androgynous bandmate, dragged two leather-clad men on leashes and had a dancer hide his face in his crotch. It prompted many complaints.

The flip side? Lambert will go on CBS' Early Show.

BAD COP

An Ohio police chief was convicted of three felonies in an alleged break-in at the home of the surrogate mother for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's twins. A jury found suspended Martins Ferry Chief Barry Carpenter guilty of receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence.

HOME SWEET HOME

Newlyweds Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have a spanking new $4 million home in Tarzana, Calif.

According to E! Online, the seven bedroom spread has nine bathrooms, a gym, theater, pool, spa and garage to fit 15 cars. Sounds like the perfect setting for a reality show.
