CELEBRITY ROUNDUP
Dear Kanye: Celebs lash back

Kanye West is known for his public tirades. He even raps about his narcissism on friend Beyoncé's song, Ego.
But the hip-hop star may have gone too far this time.
Celebs are lashing out at West after he interrupted country singer Taylor Swift's acceptance speech Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Kelly Clarkson took to her blog: ``What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we're all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like [crap].'' Out in Twitter land, the stars were also annoyed by Kanye's antics.
Pink tweeted: ``Kanye West is the biggest piece of s--- on Earth. Quote me.'' And Diddy wrote: ``I'm gonna say this, we should always have respect for each other! End of discussion.''
At the VMAs, Swift, 19, who won the Moonman for Best Female Video, took the stage and told the crowd, ``I always wondered what it would be like to maybe win one of these someday, but never actually thought it would happen.'' But West grabbed the mike from her and said, ``Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.''
The 32-year-old rapper, who was spotted on the red carpet drinking from a bottle of Hennessy, was later asked to leave the ceremony. He blamed the stunt on alcohol and later apologized on his blog: ``I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave. . . . That was Taylor's moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry,'' he said.
VMA host Russell Brand, who is known for crass jokes, stuck up for West and told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Monday morning, ``I know Kanye, and I know he's a nice bloke. We all make mistakes in life.''
Perhaps Swift's biggest fan of the night was Beyoncé, who won the Best Music Video award and asked the country star to join her onstage.
We think Jimmy Fallon summed it up best: ``Beyoncé is classy.''
But Kanye, you might want to take some etiquette lessons.
NO BABY FOR ELTON
Elton John's adoption dreams have been dashed -- by the Ukrainian government.
The singer and his longtime partner David Furnish wanted to adopt a baby, but Ukraine officials said no, citing a national law that prohibits unmarried couples from adopting.
John, 62, met Lev, a Ukrainian toddler, while he was touring an orphanage.
``Having seen Lev today, I would love to adopt him,'' John told reporters over the weekend. ``I don't know how we do that, but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David's heart and it would be wonderful if we can have a home.''
Ukrainian laws are known to be strict when it comes to adoption. Same-sex couples are banned from adopting and adoptive parents cannot be more than 45 years older than the child.
MELT-DOWN MOMMY
Kate Gosselin admitted she's having a hard time coping with being a single mom.
The Jon and Kate Plus 8 star opened up on ABC's The View, where she served as a guest host Monday.
Co-host Sherri Shepherd asked Gosselin how she feels when soon-to-be-ex hubby Jon brings his 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, around their children.
``This is definitely, I'm not going to lie, difficult,'' Gosselin said. ``The truth, for the sake of my children, I'm going to take the high road.''
But later during the show she admitted that this past weekend, in the privacy of her Pennsylvania home, she suffered ``a meltdown.''
With eight kids and and a divorce going on, who wouldn't?
HE'S A SURVIVOR
Survivor: Africa winner Ethan Zohn, who was diagnosed in April with a rare type of Hodgkin's lymphoma and recently finished his last chemotherapy session, has told People.com that his cancer has returned.
``I was off chemo,'' he said. ``I was happy; I was going out. I went up to Boston to see the family and was feeling great.''
Then his doctor called with post-chemo test results.
``My cancer is back,'' Zohn, 35, told People.com ``I have never been so scared in my life, for my life.''
Zohn, who was training for November's New York City Marathon, is making video diaries for People.com.
