Understand that what I tell you is the protocol and advice I give my patients and that you should follow your own doctor’s advice. Prior to surgery I tell my patients to avoid aspirin or aspirin-like products as they may cause bleeding during surgery. Any changes in your health and illnesses should be reported to your doctor. as it may affect your surgical outcome. Doctors vary on what preoperative tests you need and if you will need a medical clearance prior to your surgery.
