Festival Notebook: Tent No. 2 wins the best-bites prize

Going to the Sunday Grand Tasting? Here are tips from one Saturday reveler:
The second tent is better than the first, with superior food choices all around ( Ritz Carlton, Pura Vida, The Diplomat, STK, to name a few). The Verizon Wireless area is lively and engaging, and the wineries are a tad better.
Cruzan Rum is the unofficial after party spot when you have finished your tastings and want to get your groove on.
We were a little disappointed with the DeVito South Beach offering: a meatball slider sandwich that was heavy on the bread.
Before you get to the Tasting Village, make sure to stop by the FIU tent and have some venison. Very, very tasty. And on the way back, try their brewed pale ale or homemade wine.
Stepped-up recycling efforts were evident this year, but they needed one bin -- for paper products. Guests were dumping oodles of papers from their gift bags onto the beach near the check-in booths.
