Gibbons girls sweep Creek

The Cardinal Gibbons girls’ volleyball team picked up its fourth straight victory to remain undefeated this season as they defeated Coconut Creek 25-3, 25-4, 25-4 on Tuesday afternoon.

Sarah Martin led the Chiefs with 24 points, 13 aces, two kills, six assists, a dig and a block. Kassie Akouri-Tejedor registered 12 points, three aces and six assists.

GIRLS’ GOLF

Hannah Leiner shot a 36 to lead the North Broward Prep girls’ golf team to a 184-212 win over King’s Academy at Osprey Point Golf Course.

Kelsey Maglio led the Lions with a 41. Emma Rabinowitz shot a 46 and Rina Arai shot a 49 for the Eagles (1-0).

BOYS’ GOLF

The St. Thomas Aquinnas boys’ golf team took home first place with a score of 153 at a tournament in Jacaranda Golf Club.

University School was second with 160, American Heritage followed with 163 and Chaminade-Madonna scored 178.

Despite their loss, Chaminade’s Travis Still led the tournament with a score of 36.

Heritage’s Matt Galluzo and Aquinas’ Joe Lewis both shot 38.
