Hernandez retains IBF cruiserweight title

Thuringen, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Yoan Pablo Hernandez successfully defended his IBF cruiserweight title with a 12-round split decision win over Firat Arslan on Saturday.

Hernandez (29-1) won 115-113 and 116-113 on two judges' scorecards while the 43-year-old Arslan (34-8-2) took one judge's card 115-113.

It was Hernandez's fourth successful defense of the title and Arslan's third unsuccessful challenge of a belt since November 2012.
