City of Miami sponsors EB5 information session

The first of a series of informational conferences on the City of Miami EB5 Regional Center is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Miami City Hall at 3500 Pan American Drive.

The City of Miami is sponsoring monthly sessions to inform the community about the EB5 designation. It will focus on the process for EB5 project selection and provide information on various requirements governing EB5 projects and participation by foreign investors.

The Miami EB5 Regional Center is the only one in the nation that is wholly owned, managed and supervised by a municipality. Its federally designated boundaries span Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The EB5 program, aimed at creating jobs and spurring economic development, provides a way for foreign investors to get green cards to reside in the United States.
