Braves RHP Simmons put on DL

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Braves placed rookie right- handed relief pitcher Shae Simmons on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday due to a right shoulder strain.

Simmons is 1-2 with a 2.91 ERA in 26 appearances.

Right-hander Juan Jaime was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the spot on the roster. During his time for Gwinnett this year, he has converted 16 of 17 save opportunities to go with a 3.79 ERA.

The Braves are in Los Angeles for a series against the Dodgers.
