Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Rockies pitcher Tyler Chatwood is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

Chatwood last played on April 29 before landing on the disabled list with a strained right elbow. He was making some progress during rehab, but had difficulty throwing breaking balls.

The 24-year-old right-hander has gone 1-0 with a 4.50 earned run average in just four starts this season.

Chatwood has compiled a career record of 20-22 with a 4.34 ERA in 70 games -- 61 starts -- over four seasons with the Los Angeles Angels and Colorado.
